The best date in Philadelphia this fall is not dinner and a movie. It is dinner, then the Eagles. Five date ideas, each one ending at Lincoln Financial Field. Pick the spot first: the room with the right light, food that lands, drinks that do not wreck the budget. The game is the after-party, and every room on this list is a straight shot down Broad Street to the Linc when it is time to move.

This town lives and dies with the Birds, and game day in South Philly is its own kind of religion. The lots around the sports complex fill by morning, the grills fire up, the green jerseys multiply, and the whole neighborhood walks downhill toward the stadium like it has one shared heartbeat. These five dates are built for that ritual: dinner first when the kickoff is late, dinner after when the kickoff is early. Either way, you end the night under the lights.

Prices are our honest estimates for two, food and drinks. Ticket prices are the cheapest seats on SeatGeek, checked October 2, 2026, and they move, so treat them as a guide.

Zahav

The Society Hill splurge, the most important Israeli restaurant in America

Official site · (215) 625-8800 · 237 St James Pl, Philadelphia, PA 19106

Michael Solomonov’s modern Israeli landmark won the James Beard Outstanding Restaurant award in 2019 and has been the center of Philadelphia fine dining ever since. The room glows, the open kitchen fires, and the hummus tehina with hearth-baked laffa is the single most famous plate in this city. This is the date when the night matters: birthdays, anniversaries, the Cowboys on Monday night.

When to go: dinner Tuesday through Saturday, 5 to 9:30. Closed Sunday and Monday. Book weeks out on Resy, or try your luck at the bar for drinks and appetizers. Zahav does not publish a happy hour, so this is a full dinner date, priced like one.

What to order The Hummus Tehina with laffa, the Fried Cauliflower with labneh and mint, the Haloumi in kataifi, and the Pomegranate Lamb Shoulder. The Mesibah tasting menu is the full tour.

What to drink The Lemonnana, or a bottle from the largest selection of boutique Israeli wines in the country.

The date About $280 for dinner for two, tickets extra.

Getting there Uber or Lyft, about 15 minutes from Society Hill.

The game plan Dinner before the primetime dates: Cowboys Monday Oct 26, Texans Thursday Dec 24, both 8:15 kickoffs. For the 1 PM Sundays, flip it and do a post-game dinner.

Laser Wolf

The loud, fun Solomonov skewer house, Kensington

The second Solomonov room on this list, and the one with the pulse. A shipudiya, an Israeli charcoal grill house, in a Kensington warehouse with string lights and patterned tablecloths. The meal opens with a dozen salatim, salads and spreads that refill until you wave them off, then charcoal skewers land hard. Named for Lazar Wolf, the butcher in Fiddler on the Roof, and it has the best date energy of any room in the CookNSolo empire.

When to go: dinner daily, 5 to 10 Sunday through Thursday, 5 to 11 Friday and Saturday. Laser Wolf does not publish a happy hour, but the prix fixe is the deal: the salatim keep coming, and they keep coming.

What to order The Salatim spread with fresh pita, the Koobideh Kebab, the Chicken Shishlik with guava marinade, the Date-Harissa Wings, and the Whole Branzino for two. Finish with the brown sugar-vanilla soft serve.

What to drink The Salty Lion, or the Tel Aviv 75.

The date About $90 for dinner for two, the best value on the list, tickets extra.

Getting there Uber or Lyft, about 20 to 25 minutes from Northern Liberties.

The game plan Open seven days, so it covers every kickoff. Dinner before Cowboys Monday night, Oct 26, or post-game dinner for the 1 PM Sundays and the Seahawks on Saturday, Dec 19.

Le Virtu

The Abruzzese courtyard date, East Passyunk

Official site · (215) 271-5626 · 1927 E Passyunk Ave, Philadelphia, PA 19148

Rustic and unapologetic cucina Abruzzese from one of the great neighborhood dining rooms in America. Hand-pulled pasta, lamb skewers, and a natural-leaning Italian wine list, all served in a room that feels like it was lifted out of a hill town and set down on Passyunk Avenue. This is the date for people who read the menu like a novel.

When to go: dinner nightly, 5 to 10 Monday through Thursday, 5 to 10:30 Friday and Saturday, 4 to 9:30 Sunday. Ask for the courtyard patio on East Passyunk, one of the prettiest outdoor rooms in South Philly. Le Virtu does not publish a happy hour, so book the real thing.

What to order The Maccheroni alla Mugnaia, the Arrosticini lamb skewers, the Taccozzelle all’Aquilana, and the Pecorino Agnolotti with saffron butter.

What to drink Abruzzo wines, red for the sausage, white for the agnolotti.

The date About $140 for dinner for two, tickets extra.

Getting there Uber or Lyft, about 10 minutes from East Passyunk.

The game plan Dinner before Cowboys Monday, Oct 26 and Texans Thursday, Dec 24, both early enough to make the 8:15 kickoffs. Post-game dinner for the 1 PM Sundays.

Victor Cafe

The opera dinner, South Philly since 1918

Official site · (215) 468-3040 · 1303 Dickinson St, Philadelphia, PA 19147

Victor Cafe Photo: Victor Cafe, via visitphilly.com

The most Philadelphia date on this list. A South Philly Italian landmark since 1918, where every server is a trained opera singer and a bell rings every twenty minutes to announce the next aria. The same family runs it, the same red-checkered rooms, the same Rocky history (it played Adrian’s in the films). The food is classic and the portions are honest, but you come for the bell. The room goes quiet for the arias. Order between them, never during.

When to go: dinner nightly, 5 to 9:30 Monday through Thursday and Sunday, 5 to 11 Friday, 4:30 to 11 Saturday. Victor Cafe does not publish a happy hour; the show is the deal. Book on OpenTable, it fills up.

What to order The Tosca, the Prince Igor, the Caruso, and the Veal Saltimbocca. Finish with the molten chocolate cake.

What to drink Prosecco to start, Chianti with dinner.

The date About $120 for dinner for two, tickets extra.

Getting there Uber or Lyft, about 10 minutes.

The game plan Dinner before Cowboys Monday night, Oct 26, the bell, the arias, then the Linc. For 1 PM Sundays, book the late seating and make it a post-game dinner.

Irwin’s

The Sicilian rooftop date at the Bok Building, South Philly

Official site · (215) 693-6206 · 800 Mifflin St, Philadelphia, PA 19148

Eight stories up in the old Bok vocational school, chef Michael Vincent Ferreri runs modern Sicilian cooking in a room that Bon Appetit named one of the best new restaurants in America. The graffiti-covered dining room, the rooftop terrace overlooking the city, the natural wines, the pasta that made his name. On a game night you can hear the crowd roar from the stadium. Electric is the word one reviewer used. We agree.

When to go: dinner Wednesday through Sunday, 5 to 10. Closed Monday and Tuesday. Book a rooftop terrace table on Resy and watch South Philly turn green. Irwin’s does not publish happy hour details, so this is a full dinner date.

What to order The Agrodolce Chicken, the Bucatini with Monkfish, the Eggplant Caponata, and the Swordfish Milanese. The Milk and Honey Pistachio Gelato for dessert.

What to drink The Zio Ubriaco, or a biodynamic bottle from the natural-leaning wine list.

The date About $150 for dinner for two, tickets extra.

Getting there Uber or Lyft, about 10 minutes.

The game plan Post-game dinner on the Sunday 1 PM dates and Seahawks Saturday, Dec 19. Dinner before Texans Thursday, Dec 24. Closed Mondays, so the Cowboys MNF belongs to the other four.

THE SCHEDULE, IF YOU NEED IT

Sunday, Oct 4 vs. Los Angeles Rams, 1 PM ET, FOX. Tickets start around $130.

Sunday, Oct 18 vs. Carolina Panthers, 1 PM ET, CBS. Tickets start around $95.

Monday, Oct 26 vs. Dallas Cowboys, 8:15 PM ET, ESPN (Monday Night Football). Tickets start around $185.

Sunday, Nov 8 vs. New York Giants, 1 PM ET, FOX. Tickets start around $100.

Sunday, Nov 22 vs. Pittsburgh Steelers, 4:25 PM ET, CBS. Tickets start around $115.

Sunday, Dec 13 vs. Indianapolis Colts, 1 PM ET, FOX. Tickets start around $90.

Saturday, Dec 19 vs. Seattle Seahawks, 5 PM ET, FOX. Tickets start around $95.

Thursday, Dec 24 vs. Houston Texans, 8:15 PM ET, Prime Video (Thursday Night Football). Tickets start around $80.

One scheduling truth worth knowing: the Eagles play five primetime games this season, two of them at the Linc. Monday Night Football on October 26 is the big one, Cowboys vs. Eagles, 8:15 PM ET on ESPN, and it is the dinner-before date of the year. Thursday Night Football on Christmas Eve against the Texans is the other one. The Saturday date against the Seahawks on December 19 is a standalone 5 PM window, and the rest of the home slate kicks off Sunday at 1 PM. Night game means dinner before; 1 PM Sunday means dinner after.

Ticket prices are the cheapest seats on SeatGeek, checked October 2, 2026, and they move. Date costs are our estimates for two people. The formula: pick the date first, then check the kickoff. Night game means dinner before: Zahav, Laser Wolf, Le Virtu, and Victor Cafe for Cowboys Monday night (Irwin’s is closed Mondays), all five for Texans Thursday night. 1 PM Sunday means dinner after the final whistle. Either way, confirm times before you go.
