Crowne Plaza Opens Hotel Near Disneyland Paris

IHG has planted a new flag in the most competitive hotel corridor in France. The Crowne Plaza Paris Marne-la-Vallée opened September 24 in Magny-le-Hongre, and it puts Disneyland Paris about seven minutes away by complimentary shuttle. The 250 rooms and suites sit across 2.5 hectares of landscaped grounds, most of them overlooking Golf Paris Val d’Europe.

The pitch

Location is the whole argument here, and it’s a strong one. The hotel sits roughly 40 minutes from central Paris but minutes from the parks, the classic split-stay math for families doing Disney plus the city. The free shuttle removes the usual friction and the usual taxi bill, and the grounds give it a resort feel that the concrete-box airport hotels in the area can’t match.

The three dining rooms

Three dining venues carry the food and drink. La Clairière cooks Mediterranean-inspired food, L’Orangerie serves breakfast over the terrace and gardens, and Mystic Bar works as the all-day social hub. It’s a proper lineup for a hotel whose pitch is the family resort, not the airport stopover.

The long game

The phased opening tells you how IHG sees this asset. What’s live now, the three dining venues, an indoor heated pool, a spa, a gym, and a yoga and Pilates space, is already a full-service resort. What’s coming later this year, padel courts, an outdoor gym, and pétanque, fills in the active-leisure side. An outdoor pool and bar follow in spring 2027, which is when the property fully matures into its grounds.

Crowne Plaza is IHG’s premium brand for the blended business and leisure traveler, the work trip that extends into the weekend, and this property is textbook. The 1,500 square meters of event space across 14 meeting rooms gives it a real meetings business, while the resort grounds, spa, and pools give it a leisure story that most airport-corridor competitors can’t tell.
